I Will be Satisfied With You

Before the Israelites were going to head into the land that God had promised to them, Moses had some good tips for them.  Namely, that they should be careful to do what God told them to and, specifically, not to deviate from the path He had set out for them.  He told them that this would result in them having a good and a long life in the Promised Land.  This is what the Word says: “You shall walk in all the ways which the Lord your God has commanded you, that you may live and that it may go well with you and that you may live long in the land which you shall possess.”  Deuteronomy 5:33 AMPC

And later on, in Psalm 91, we have even more promises….  The Psalmist points out the fact that the Lord said “If someone loves me….. I  will give to him a long life”.  And in the Passion translation it says:

“You will be satisfied with a full life and with all that I do for you. For you will enjoy the fullness of my salvation!” Psalm 91:16 TPT

Wow!  What a promise, and this promise, given by the Lord God Almighty to the Israelites, wasn’t just for them alone!  As children of God, and part of His Family – all the promises have been given to us as well.  What more could we possibly ask for?

Contentment

To be content and satisfied with the life we live must surely be what most of us desire, and here it is being promised to us – and ‘long’ life at that.  Don’t miss out!  Unless I’ve understood it wrongly – this means we can live long and be satisfied in our old age…

Old Age

On the subject of ‘old age’, please remember that you’re not put on the scrap heap and no longer any use to the Lord when you grow old.  Age does not stop us being able to be used by God!  I always think of Caleb, who went into the Promised Land at the age of 85 years.  Not to mention Joshua, who led them there – and he was around the same age as Caleb.  In fact, they were the only 2 of all those who originally came out of Egypt, that actually entered the Promised Land.  And my own testimony of becoming an author at 79 – and still writing as my 80th birthday approaches!

Walk in God’s Way

So be encouraged, walk in God’s way – the way that He leads you – and live a long life.  A life in which you are satisfied through living in a love relationship with Him – and knowing that God is ENOUGH 🙏
