About Linda Herbert

Linda Herbert is a multi-talented prophetic author and encourager, with a rich and diverse background in teaching, missionary work, and supporting others.  Holding a teaching certificate in Divinity and Geography, and a diploma in Business Studies, Linda embarked on her career as a professionally-trained teacher for junior and secondary age groups.  Prior to her teaching career, she worked in administration in the civil service and later, when she moved on from teaching, she again worked in administration in the private sector.

Linda’s passion for service to the Lord led her to become a missionary in Iran in the late ’70s, where she taught at an American International Christian School in Tehran. Upon returning to the UK, she taught Business Studies part-time and eventually became self-employed, teaching computer skills, bookkeeping, and accountancy for small businesses. Linda also dedicated her time to working with vulnerable populations, from her early years in a children’s home to her later work with Somerset Council’s Youth Service and as a relief care worker for Social Services.

As an accomplished Christian author, Linda published her first book, “The Turning of the Tide,” in November 2022 and followed up with her second book, “Blooming in the Wilderness,” in May 2023. In addition to her writing, Linda has been involved in ministries, such as working with The Blessing Movement and volunteering with Grace Advocacy to help people with debt, housing, and disability payments.

Outside of her professional life, Linda finds joy in gardening, reading, and various crafts, such as knitting, tapestry, and sewing. Despite health challenges, she enjoys walking and swimming, having learned to swim at the age of 3 in Austria.

Linda Herbert’s unique background and dedication to service make her an inspiring figure in her late 70’s, and her passion for writing, ministry, and helping others continues to shine through in all her endeavours.
