“Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.”  Micah 7:8 NLT

Knocked Down But NOT Knocked Out

When I read this verse today, my immediate thought was “Knocked Down But NOT Knocked Out” – it just gives us such a summary of what the Lord enables us to do!

A Choice

Whether we’ve fallen (been knocked down) through our own fault, or because of some action by someone else and we’ve been in the way – ultimately we have a choice to make, and no one else can make it for us…..  And, to be honest, the choice we make will be seen in the outcome of the situation.

We can choose to be negative about all that’s happened, which will take us backwards in our walk with the Lord.  Or, we can choose to be positive – which will take us forward!  You see, John tells us in 1 John 4:4 “….greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world…”.

God’s Power

And this means that we have been given God’s power, living in us through the Holy Spirit, which enables us to get back on our feet!  It’s the positive choice – and His Light will take us onward out of the darkness!  Really it’s a ‘no brainer’  Who wants to stay on the ground in the dark, being gloated over by the enemy?

Let’s Declare together: “I may be down but I am NOT out! I’m GETTING UP and OUT of this!”  Hallelujah!!
