“Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come!”  2 Corinthians 5:17 AMPC.

A Challenge or Promise?

This is a very challenging statement from Paul – especially if we’re serious about having it worked out in our lives by the power of the Holy Spirit!  But change your way of thinking of it as only a challenge, to the fact that it’s also a promise – then I find it exciting….

Why?  Because in that promise I believe is the intention that our Father will work in us, through the power of the Holy Spirit, to remove the ‘old’ and replace it with the ‘new’.  He will bring to pass the truth of this Word in our lives.  He wants to work out all the old life so nothing is left but our new life in Jesus.

The Work of the Holy Spirit

This is definitely something we cannot do for ourselves, no matter how hard we might try!  It can only be done through the supernatural working of the Holy Spirit in our lives to change us.

Praise God, and give thanks with all your heart, that our Father loves us so much that He will take the time and effort to work in us in this way.  That He never runs out of patience and love and sees our heart and what we desire to be done in our lives.

We have the privilege of being able to Declare that…

“I am a new creature in Christ. I am Brand new, my past is erased!”

Be blessed . 🙏❣️
