“The Lord is my light and my salvation— so why should I be afraid?…. I will remain confident.” Psalms 27:1, 3 NLT

We Can be Confident in God Alone

What a joy when we wake in the morning to a sunny day…. and the difference when we wake to find it’s overcast, pelting down with rain and not a streak of sunshine to be seen anywhere!  But, even if I can’t see it, the sun is actually shining behind all the cloud and rain….

David speaks in this Psalm of how the Lord is his light and salvation (Psalm 27:1); and Micah at a later date, tells of how when we “….sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light to me.”  Micah 7:8 AMPC – as He is to us as well.  Each one of us need the Light of God in our lives – even more than we need the light of the sun!

We Cannot Rely On Our Feelings Only

I’m pretty certain that we all experience days when we’re so aware of our Father’s presence and the joy and security it gives us as we walk through the day with Him.  But we cannot always depend on that feeling – because, realistically, it’s not always there!  We have to learn to walk in the joy and security of knowing that Father is walking with us – whether we feel it or not.

We CAN Rely on GOD

On those days when everything seems to go wrong and we can’t seem to ‘see the wood for the trees’ – we need to know in our spirits that on those days He is also walking with us, because our hearts are not afraid and our confidence is completely in the Lord.

Let’s Declare together that:    “I am not afraid of anyone, or anything seen or unseen, because my confidence is in the Lord.”

Be blessed 🙏❣️
