Never Stop Praying

Pray without ceasing, in other words “Never stop praying”.  This is what our Heavenly Father has commanded us to do!  You might ask “How is that possible?”  Well, the Greek word “without ceasing” means continuous action. Therefore, “praying without ceasing” means to pray continuously and we’re given a clue as to how this is possible in the verses before and after this instruction.

In the verse before we’re told to “Rejoice always” and then, immediately after – “in everything give thanks”.  How do we rejoice and give thanks?  Through prayer!  And basically, ‘praying’ is really ‘talking to Jesus’ – ALL the time, about those people and situations that are on our hearts and thanking Him that He’s got it all under His control!

Two Way Relationship

It requires two way communication to maintain a healthy relationship with anyone and that applies just as much in our relationship with Jesus.  So, our ‘praying without ceasing’ isn’t just us telling Jesus what’s on our hearts…. He wants to tell us what’s on His heart also.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit we can be shown those people, situations, etc that Father wants us to pray for.  It’s exciting to work in harmony with the Lord in a ‘lifestyle’ of prayer.

Let’s Declare together…  “Oh Lord, make me a prayer addict.”

Be blessed. 🙏❣️
