David is thanking and praising God for rescuing him and keeping him safe – “You have done it”…. (Psalm 52:9). But what has he been kept safe from? This time he’s not referring to his sins being forgiven after repenting.
This was prior to the time of him becoming king and he was in hiding from Saul – who was searching for him to kill him. Someone had informed Saul where he was. Saul didn’t like the fact that David had been anointed king by Samuel the prophet!
But David’s heart belonged to God and He stepped in and rescued him and kept him safe. Don’t forget God had great plans for David…..
What a lesson for us! Remember that you are unique and your Father has created you for a specific purpose and has specific plans for you. Get this settled in your spirit – it’s important!
When the enemy attacks to try and disrupt things – remind him that your Father is in control and He will keep you safe. And don’t forget to praise Him – praise is a potent weapon that the enemy hates – he won’t hang around!!
