“1 Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities……” Psalms 103:1, 3 KJV

Like all of us, David knew from his own experience, what it was to be forgiven for sin in his life; and is so thankful for His Father’s forgiveness.  The Passion translation expresses it particularly well:  “1 With my whole heart, with my whole life, and with my innermost being, I bow in wonder and love before you, the holy God!  3 You kissed my heart with forgiveness, in spite of all I’ve done….”. Psalms 103:1, 3 TPT

The amazing and wonderful truth is that we find, later in the same Psalm, that David explains the fact that God has removed our sin from us....”…as far as the east is from the west” (Psalms 103:12)

This isn’t wishful thinking on David’s part because it’s there in ‘black and white’ in God’s Word for everyone to see.

Then, in the New Testament we also learn that, not just content with removing our sins far away – the author of Hebrews tells us that, our Father has not only forgiven us, but says He will ‘never again’ remember our sins.  (Hebrews 8:12 NLT)

David revealed in another Psalm (16) how the ‘secret’ of his life, is his relationship to God.  This is essentially his love relationship with his Father, that is central to everything else and is what our Father desires to have with all of us through His Son, Jesus.  There is no better way to thank Him for all He has done, than to love Him.

Let’s Declare together  that….   “I confess my sins today. Thank you Lord that my past and present sins are forgiven.”

Be blessed 🙏❣️
