To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”  Isaiah 61:3 NKJV

Praising the Lord

May I ask you:  “Do you enjoy praising the Lord?”  May I also ask you:  “Is that all the time, or just when you feel like it?”  Jesus said very clearly, recorded in Luke’s Gospel chapter 4, that He had come to bring freedom – to comfort those who mourn and bring them joy and help them to celebrate!

So is that all there is to it and we don’t have to do anything?  No!  The Holy Spirit is always a gentleman and never forces us to go in a direction we don’t want to!  Isaiah says that God will give us “…..a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness…..”

I WILL Put On My Garment of Praise

But, and here’s the catch, we have to make a choice at this stage!  “I WILL put on the garment of PRAISE”.  It’s something that we have to choose.  We have to choose to start praising the Lord – and then He will do His part and, as we praise Him, we find He’s lifting the weight of heaviness off from our spirit.

A New Season of Praise

If we can only learn this in our walk with the Lord – it will make such a difference.  Get the Truth of this in your spirit and enter into a new season of Praise and realise the Power of this in your life!  It’s something that no one else can do for us – we have to learn this and do it for ourselves.  Believe me, when I say you’ll never regret it!!

Let’s Declare together that….
“I shake off every frustration and disappointment and l WILL put on the garment of praise.”

Bless you 🙏❣️
