“And He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many shall see and fear (revere and worship) and put their trust and confident reliance in the Lord.”  Psalms 40:3 AMPC

Praise – A Weapon!

Can I ask you – are you aware that you can use praise as a weapon against the enemy?  Praising and thanking God was another part of David’s defence when the enemy started stirring up trouble and was bombarding him with lies.

David’s Relationship with God

David’s relationship with God was always at the core of his walk with Him, and part of that relationship was recognising the power of praise in operation in his life.  He was always honest with God when he was downhearted and not coping – but, and you can learn more through reading David’s numerous psalms that he wrote, he always ended up in thanking and praising God for His help.

Our Choice!

In our verse today he’s sharing with us that “He has put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God”.  We too can receive new songs from Him as we choose to praise and thank Him for all He is doing in our lives.  I say ‘choose’ because we have the choice as to whether we sink under what’s going on, in and around us – or whether we choose to rise up above it.

Choose to Fight!

Basically we can choose whether we fight the enemy with the weapons God’s given us – or whether we let him win.  Remember we have weapons, one of them is praise which is the power of heaven.  And don’t forget we have a heavenly language through the power of the Holy Spirit – and that, used in song, is particularly powerful.

We are well equipped in this battle that we are in!  Hallelujah!

A New Song

God is wanting to give each of us a NEW song of praise even if, and when, we’re going through som pain!

Be blessed and allow your Father to lead you forward – step by step in the Power of Praise!  🙏🙌❣️
