“Why was no one there when I came? Why didn’t anyone answer when I called? Is it because I have no power to rescue?…..” Isaiah 50:2 NLT
GOD is Not Deaf to My Cries
Speaking through Isaiah God is asking His people the Israelites, why no one was there when He came – why no one answered when He called? He goes on to ask them if they’ve decided that He no longer has the power to help them? God is asking this of the people who He heard calling for help from Egypt – the very ones that He brought out from there and delivered. The ones He gave the Promised Land to. These were the people who He sent His Angel Armies to help conquer the Philistines and other foreign armies in order to be able to settle in that land He had given to them.
I wonder how many of us, that’s you and me, look back through our lives and remember all those times that God helped and delivered us from those difficult situations we faced? The times He strengthened us and held us steady in His love, peace and joy as He helped us fight and overcome the enemy. How often do we remember to thank and praise Him for all He’s done in our lives?
Are We Listening?
And how often do we, you and me, find ourselves once again in difficulty and forget to call on Him and ask for His help? Isaiah tells us that “God’s arm is not amputated—he can still save. God’s ears are not stopped up—he can still hear.” (Isaiah 59:1 MSG). And yet we can so easily forget to turn to Him for the help we need.
Our Declaration for today is: “God is not deaf to the cries of the oppressed, less privileged and hurting. Justice will prevail.”
Let’s determine in our hearts to act on it, and cry out to our Father when we need His help.
Be blessed 🙏❣️
