“…the key of the house of David I will lay upon his shoulder; he shall open and no one shall shut, he shall shut and no one shall open.” Isaiah 22:22 AMPC

In Father’s Hands

When you believe the Lord has spoken to you about doing something, but you’re not sure whether it’s your imagination or Him – how do you go about working it out?  I know that on some occasions we receive a very clear Word and we really have no doubts about what He’s saying.  But, even then we need really to check it out as the enemy can be a pretty convincing liar!  Anyway, back to my original question – because all of us, if we’re honest, don’t always find it easy to be sure….

Open Doors

But here, in our Declaration verse today, we’ve been given a promise from the Lord – spoken through Isaiah as a prophetic Word concerning the Messiah.  So we know that when He (the Messiah) opens or closes a door – that is exactly how it will remain, and nothing any of us can do can change it.

The Right Path

Now, doesn’t that give you the security and reassurance that the Father has it all in His hands?  For our part we need to have it clear in our minds and spirits what it is we feel He wants us to do.  And then, and this is often the tricky bit that we stumble on and very often will go off at a tangent – and then we need to take a step of faith and start acting on what we believe we’ve been told to do.

It’s that bit that’s the most nerve racking….. but, if we will step out in faith, that’s when Father will either open the door for us to go through it; or He’ll close it!  And that’s when we need to be thankful – whatever the result, because He loves us and keeps us on the right path that He has chosen for us.

Let’s Declare together: “Doors of opportunity are opening to me now, in the name of Jesus.”

Be blessed 🙏❣️
