“….bow low in God’s awesome presence, he will eventually exalt you as you leave the timing in his hands.”  1 Peter 5:6 TPT

Can You Wait?

If we’re honest, how many of us find it difficult to be patient when we have to wait for something?  That can be whether we’re waiting in line in a queue to be served, or waiting to hear whether we’ve been accepted for a new job, or waiting for God to answer a specific prayer that we’ve prayed – to name just a few.

I believe the answer is in the last few words of our declaration verse today, where it says “leave the timing in his hands.”  This is the key, but we do need to do more than just acknowledge it – and then get on with worrying and being impatient as we wait!  We need to change our attitude, which doesn’t happen automatically or overnight.

Attitude

It’s important that we make the decision to change our attitude so that we view it differently, and really we need to thank the Lord that the timing of it all is in His hands.  And we need to keep on thanking Him as we continue to walk with the Lord in what He has already shown us.  And trust that through His grace, and His grace alone, we can walk in faith and in peace, until such time that He answers us and that we have learned what He wants to teach us through it.

In the Waiting

Some years ago there was a worship song called “Take Courage” which contained the words: “He’s in the waiting”.  This rather sums the situation up – yes, we are waiting and often it’s difficult.  BUT Father is waiting with us – which is what makes the difference!

Be blessed, as you wait for God’s timing in your life.  🙏❣️
