“But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” Isaiah 40:31 AMPC
Fly Like an Eagle
I wonder what you know about the way that Eagles fly and just how they manage to fly and reach to the incredible heights that they do. Apparently the Eagles reach the heights they fly to, not just through the power of their great wings, but by using what is coming against them. They actually use the winds, that come to put pressure on them, to fly up higher and higher!
Likewise, when we are being challenged by the difficulties in our every day lives, we need to use those difficulties we face, to help us to grow in our relationship with the Lord – all the time becoming stronger.
He Will Renew My Strength
But, you say, how do we do this; how does it work? Well, the Word says, that we do it by waiting on the Lord. It sounds too simple doesn’t it? The thing is, within that time of waiting – don’t think that you’ll just be sitting around waiting! Oh, no! During our times of waiting, those are the times when we need to be trusting Him to take us through the difficult challenge(s) we’re facing. Whatever it / they may be!
Always remember that He’s taking us ‘through’ whatever it is we’re facing – not just sustaining us ‘in’ the difficulty!
Waiting
I don’t know about you, but I don’t find waiting very easy….!! BUT in another translation it actually says that “…. those who trust in the LORD for help will find their strength renewed…” (GNB)
That leads me to believe that, not only does the Lord ‘renew’ our strength, but He will also help us to wait…. the condition being…. IF we TRUST in Him. I find this very comforting – and hope you will too!!!
So, you see…. our Father will give us ALL the strength we need – if we trust in HIM.
Keep trusting and be blessed – 🙏❣️
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
