“…..You strengthened me with strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) in my inner self.” Psalms 138:3 AMPC

A Cover Up

I think most of us would admit that we’re pretty expert at covering up what we’re really feeling when we’re asked, and simply saying we’re fine – when, in fact, we’re far from it!  I’d even go as far as to say that we often don’t even admit it to ourselves – difficulty with physical challenges, and even more so with emotional challenges.

But that’s not how God has created us to be.  He wants us to be honest with ourselves, and honest with God – let’s face it, God is already fully aware of it any way.  And there are times we need to share and acknowledge it to others – not ‘all and sundry’, just those that Father has put in our lives that we can trust as a ‘safe place’.

Go to God First

But I believe primarily we need, like David had learned to – we need, first of all, to go to God and ask His help and guidance.  He has given us so much in His Word to be able to stand on in difficult times.

You Strengthen Me Lord

David says to God in our verse today that “…..You strengthened me with strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) in my inner self.” (Psalms 138:3 AMPC).  And the Passion translation of that verse reminds us that “At the very moment I called out to you, you answered me!”

A Learning Curve

We all need to learn to draw on the inner strength of the Holy Spirit that God wants to give to us when we ask Him.

Please don’t forget to ASK Him!

Have a great day with Jesus ❤️❣️
