“From my earliest youth my enemies have persecuted me, but they have never defeated me.” Psalms 129:2 NLT
My Enemies have not Defeated Me
The Israelites, right from the beginning of their nation being established by God, were persecuted. The Egyptians were not very successful – ending up in the Red Sea, literally, and the majority of them drowned as a result. The persecution continued – but, also, did the deliverance that God brought about through raising up various people as leaders.
This is a picture in the natural really, of us as believers. As soon as we become born again believers with the Holy Spirit living within us, we become direct targets for the enemy, satan. But, we are not fighting the enemy on our own, Hallelujah!!!
As Paul shares with the Corinthians, and that means with us as well…. “Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 TPT
Do Not Be Afraid
We don’t have to be afraid – we are not fighting this battle on our own and, in fact, the battle has already been won! We have to “…stand still and see the salvation of the Lord…” (Exodus 14:13, 2 Chronicles 20:17) Remember – CHRIST in us is “…greater than he that is in the world.” (1 John 4:4)
Stand on God’s Word
Let’s declare together: “I may be knocked down, but I an NOT knocked out!”
Be blessed 🙏❣️
