The Upper Room

Have you ever imagined being in the upper room when the Holy Spirit fire came upon them – and wondered what it would have been like and how you’d feel??  

The scene is a group of about 120 followers praying and waiting as they had been instructed to by Jesus.  We’re told earlier in Acts that they were in the Upper Room in Jerusalem and “….continued with one accord in prayer and supplication….” (Acts 1:14 NKJV). The key factor being they were with ‘one accord’ – there is such power when the Lord’s people pray and move in one accord and the Holy Spirit is free to move!

Mighty Wind and Tongues of Fire

First of all came the sound of the mighty wind – can you hear it?  Next the tongues, of what appeared to be fire, over each person there – can you see the fire?  And then…. they were everyone of them filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other tongues – can you hear them??!!  Wow!  Just think of it and what it must have looked and been like to experience it.

The wonderful thing is that it wasn’t a one off arrival of the Holy Spirit in the midst of God’s people – it was the beginning of something that would go on through the ages and still does today.  

If you haven’t already experienced this in your walk with Jesus – ASK the Holy Spirit to fill you with His fire.  If you have experienced this – then ASK the Holy Spirit to re-fill you, today and every day.  

We can Declare:  “Fire of the Holy Ghost, ignite me and let me burn for you!” 🔥
