“….I will praise you wherever I go. And when everyone gathers for worship, I will lift up your praise with a shout in front of the largest crowd I can find!” Psalms 35:18 TPT

How Do You Cope?

Don’t you just hate it when you have one of those days when everything you touch and try to do, goes pear-shaped and wrong…..or maybe you don’t ever have those sort of days?  How do you cope, what ‘strategies’ do you use to get you through?

David is sharing again how his relationship with the Lord helps him cope with his day to day life – a lesson for us to take note of!  He is saying to his Father “….I will praise you wherever I go.” bearing in mind that he is being chased by Saul’s men who have orders to capture and kill him.

Further on in the Word, Paul tells us that we should… “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18 NLT

Power In Praise

I do believe this is something we each need to learn in our own lives – that there is power in praising and thanking God at ALL times, whether we feel like it or not.  It somehow opens up our spirit and allows the Holy Spirit to work within us…not to change our circumstances necessarily, but to change US in our circumstances.  Be encouraged and try it, if you haven’t already – believe me it works!

“I praise you dear God when I’m in church, at home alone, with others, in the good or bad times.”
