“….those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power; They will lift up their wings [and rise up close to God] like eagles [rising toward the sun]; They will run and not become weary, They will walk and not grow tired.”  Isaiah 40:31 AMP

In today’s culture everyone seems to always be in such a rush, but it’s so easy to make mistakes when we do things in such a hurry!

Wait On the Lord

Isaiah actually tells us that if we ‘wait on the Lord’ we will renew our strength.  How?  It’s because we’re spending time in His presence – and that does more to restore our bodies, minds and emotions than anything else we can do.  In fact it prepares us for facing anything!

Oswald Chambers points out that to be able to ‘walk and not faint’ (Isaiah 40:31 KJV) signifies the ‘stable qualities’ that we, as believers all need.

Walk With the Lord

We need to walk with the Lord on a day to day basis, in His presence, and let Him show us what He wants us to do.  You see, if we’re acting on what He shows – He gives us the strength to do what we need to.  And if we’re not sure – then we need to wait for the Lord to show us, and not rush ahead and do it in the way we think it should be done!

Be Alert

We also need to be alert to the leading of the Holy Spirit if He checks us in anyway – and find out where we might have taken a wrong turn…..  Basically we’re in the ‘safe hands’ of our Father – and need to ‘listen’!

I pray that each one of us will know the grace and patience of the Lord, to wait upon Him.  Waiting on the Lord is never a waste!

Be blessed 🙏❣️
