“I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord; I have no good besides you.”” Psalm 16:2 AMP
Basically David has come to that place in his life where he is acknowledging that God is His Lord; and is realising that without Him he literarily has nothing! David really is speaking from his innermost heart and is saying, as the Message translation puts it, “Without You, nothing makes sense.”
It’s the place we all have to come to eventually, if we want to go forward into all that our Father has planned for us in our growing relationship with Him. The ‘how’ and ‘when’ of that place is different for each and every one of us. We are all different and each of us is unique because that is how Father created us to be! We cannot choose when we will come to that realisation, or how; but we can open up our hearts and lives to the Lord and allow Him access so the Holy Spirit can do the work in us that is needed.
It’s another situation in our lives, and there are many of them, where we have to do our part as God shows us…..and then He’ll do all that needs to be done, that only He can do! And it’s not a ‘one off’ either – because, as He takes us deeper, we are more and more aware of our inability to do anything at all in our own strength. In other words….more and more of Jesus, less and less of me! Hallelujah!!
Let’s Declare together: “You are my Lord, you make my life to have meaning and relevance.”
Be blessed 🙏❣️
