“….God has made all things new, and reconciled us to himself, and given us the ministry of reconciling others to God.”            2 Corinthians 5:18 TPT

In the same way that Nicodemus questioned the impossibility of being born again, and Jesus had to explain that it wasn’t a physical birth but spiritual – in the same fashion, when Paul speaks of God ‘making us new’, it’s a spiritual ‘newness’ – not a physical change in our bodies!  When we are born again of the Spirit we are made new from the inside out….  This isn’t a once and for all process but, when Jesus comes and lives inside us by the power of the Holy Spirit – the process of transformation begins and actually continues until God calls us home to be with Him!

But “Why?” you might ask.  Our ‘new birth’ starts the process of our reconciliation with God but it isn’t just us as individuals that God wants to be reconciled with.  He’s after so much more than that!  As we grow in our relationship with Jesus and more and more of ‘us’ becomes reconciled with Him – and I wouldn’t blame you for asking ‘Why?” once again – the reason being that the ‘self’ in us needs to get smaller and the ‘life of Jesus’ in us needs to get bigger.

And I can sense yet another “Why?” coming….. it’s because God is after using us to help others be reconciled to Him as well – known as the ‘ministry of reconciliation’.  “How?” – by us allowing the life of Jesus to flow through us and be shared with those around us!  We become in effect Ambassadors of the Good News Christ – just as we declare in today’s declaration.

Let’s Declare together….    “I am an ambassador of the Good News of Jesus Christ and l will share it with every living creature.”

Be blessed. 🙏❣️
