We Belong To God – But Do We Know It?
Do we know and understand what it means to have the Holy Spirit within us, as John tells us He is? We may know in part, and may understand in part, but I don’t think we will fully understand the enormity of this gift that we’ve been given, until we go to Glory!
The Battle is Already Won
I believe we are given some idea when John says very clearly here that, because we belong to God and have the Holy Spirit within us we, like the early believers, will be victors in the situations we find ourselves in. John says it’s because the power in us is greater and more powerful than the spirit in the world – namely satan. Put in its simplest form: the battle is already won…..
Every Day
So…. as we enter each new day and face whatever comes against us, it’s important that we remind ourselves that we do actually belong to God! That because we belong to God and He is ‘for us’ – who can possibly be against us? And not only that but, because we have the Holy Spirit living in us, on top of all that, we can say that ‘Greater is He that is in me, than He that is in the world”.
Power
NEVER forget the power that gives you! ALWAYS remember that the Holy Spirit is more powerful in you than anything that the enemy has; and that the battle has already been WON!!
